Prayer for Savannah, Georgia – 2017
We humbly come before the God of all creation, Maker of the Universe and Author and Finisher of our salvation, and declare this day:
The Lord God Himself has declared that Savannah is a jewel, even a Sapphire, and deep within her burns His everlasting fire of holiness, even the fire of His Holy Spirit.
No longer shall this city, Savannah, be a city of bondage, but from this day forth it is a city of Liberty. The forces of darkness which have long sought to pervert the will of the Father concerning Savannah, from this time forth shall cease and desist from any and all endeavors to bring this city into captivity. All assignments against this city are broken and will accomplish nothing. We declare it to be so in the name of Jesus.
On every street corner and in every courtyard will be heard the sound of rejoicing, even the sound of the wedding party preparing for the arrival of the Bridegroom. The sound of the turtledove will once again be heard in the city. The streets indeed will resound with rejoicing and the dancers therein shall dance upon injustice until the bands of wickedness are thoroughly broken off of this city.
A mighty warring troupe shall arise in the midst of this city and perform mighty exploits and go forth valiantly to do battle in the name of the Lord. Intercession shall be its bulwark. In you, Savannah, shall His house be truly a house of prayer and on your knees shall you find great mercies extended to all who enter in to the refuge that He has ordained you to be. From north to south and east to west a bridge shall be built in this city. It shall be a bridge of unity, a bridge of peace, a bridge of love, and a bridge of reconciliation. You shall be known as a city of refuge and a city of great joy for you have stretched yourself out to embrace the chosen of the Lord and have blessed His people Israel.
See the Lord, even the Most High, has set upon you His Seal and called you Chatham. Evil men with impure hearts could not burn you but now, the Lord has declared He will cause you to burn, from east to west and north to south, with the Fire of His Glory. Now burn Savannah. Burn with the Fire of the Living God. Burn with the Fire of His holiness. Burn with Revival fires that shall never be quenched. Rise up you warriors on the east side, come forth now and do the will of the Lord. Be stirred, you gatekeepers of the west side. Faithful are you to your charge. Continue steadfast. Ah north, shore up the weakened areas. Close the gates. Stand watch. South side, come forth in unity. Stand fast. Be not turned aside. Behold, the Bridegroom cometh. Look for Him. Stand fast, Savannah. Oh Savannah, we declare, you shall stand fast in the Lord from this day forward. So be it. In the name of Jesus and sealed in His blood. Amen.
