3-Fold Vision of Mahanaim
1. Claiming Our Inheritance and Opening the River Gate for Aliyah
Mahanaim – Hebrew word meaning: “Two camps, hosts, armies.” Jacob’s earthly host (God’s people) joining together with God’s angelic warrior host. In Scripture the angelic warrior host was assigned by God to accompany Jacob back to Isaac’s house to take up the inheritance promised to him. (The angels would fight, defend, strengthen and minister.)
And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. And when Jacob saw them, he said,
This is God's camp: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim (two camps). Genesis 32:1-2
Jacob’s host is again called to return to the land of Israel in this day – God’s land promised to them.
Believers in Messiah Jesus, who are grafted into the olive tree of Israel and called to be partakers of the promises, covenants and citizenship of Israel are called to take the land of their inheritance.
2. Establishing A City of Refuge
And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with her suburbs… Joshua 21:38
The place named Mahanaim by Jacob later became a city and was proclaimed a City of Refuge.
3. Dancing the Victory Dance of the Bride and the Angelic Host
In Song of Solomon 6 we see the Shulamite, representing the Bride of Christ, described as an army marching forth under banners and ending in a victory dance with the angelic host.
You are as beautiful as Tirzah (she is My delight), my love,
As lovely as Jerusalem (city of shalom – peace),
But formidable as an army marching under banners.
Turn your eyes away from Me, because they overwhelm Me! (Song of Solomon 6:4-5 CJB)
Who is this, shining forth like the dawn,
Fair as the moon,
Bright as the sun,
But formidable as an army marching under banners? (Song of Solomon 6:10 CJB)
Before I knew it I found myself in a chariot, and with me was a prince.
Return, return, O Shulamite;
Return, return, that we may look upon you! (Song of Solomon 6:12 CJB)
What would you see in the Shulamite –
As it were, the Dance of Mahanaim? (Song of Solomon 6:12-13 NKJV)
Mahanaim Mandate
The Mahanaim Mandate was birthed in August 2001 in a vision given in Savannah, GA to two Nancy’s, a Messianic Jewess and a Gentile, at the same time. Two is the number of witness and, since Nancy from the Hebrew “Hannah” means “grace,” we believe this is a “double outpouring” of God’s grace – two witnesses with two visions of two armies and a double portion of grace!
In the visions, both Nancy’s saw a Praise Processional on the order of the praisers going before the army of Jehoshaphat marching through the streets of Savannah, GA to be held at Pentecost (Shavuot) in 2002. We each heard from the Lord that at the appointed time we would also process through the streets of Jerusalem, which we completed in 2004 at the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost). We went forth in the anointing of Cyrus and the power of Mahanaim. We believe that God released the angelic host on a new assignment and that a new time on God’s prophetic clock began.
The mandate the Lord gave us was first to call forth the Warrior-Bride of the Song of Solomon to march in a procession of praise through the gates of Savannah, GA and reclaim this city from the hands of the enemy. Then in 2004 we marched around the walls of the Old City in Jerusalem. We answered the call to “Go Through the Gates” and prophetically marked the “Returning Pathway” of the seed of Abraham from the West.
As Genesis 32 opens, Jacob has been told by God to leave Laban’s house with his family and return to his father Isaac’s house to claim the blessing and inheritance promised to him many years before. In obedience he began his journey home. He camped and the angels of God met him. He named that place “Mahanaim” – two camps, hosts or armies.
The angelic host was dispatched by the Lord to accompany and assist Jacob and his host as they returned to claim their inheritance. Heaven and earth joined together to accomplish God’s will and command. In Song of Solomon 6:10 this Warrior-Bride, a type of the bride of Christ, is described by the daughters of Jerusalem: “Who is this, shining forth like the dawn, fair as the moon, bright as the sun ... but terrible as an army marching under banners?”InVerse 13 they see her as “at the Dance of Mahanaim” or the “Dance of two camps, hosts or armies.” The Hebrew word translated “dance” means a “company of dancers!” The Warrior-Bride dances the victory dance with the angels!
Over the ages God has established patterns that he repeats on other levels in other times. In Genesis 32, Mahanaim was the announcement and beginning of a specific prophetic move in God’s timetable for the man Jacob and his family. The Lord showed us that Mahanaim is again a prophetic signpost pointing to a move of God in the life of Jacob the nation as it pertains to the USA.
There were two specific obstacles to Jacob returning to the Promised Land: his flesh and his estranged brother, Esau. After the angelic host joined Jacob the very next thing that happened was a “night of wrestling” with the Captain of the Host! Jacob cried, “I will not let You go until You graft me!” It was here that Jacob’s flesh was weakened and for the first time he prevailed with God in the Spirit and was given a new name, Israel – one who overcomes, prevails – a prince with God.
The march was not just a Praise March. It was the release of a prophetic move of God in His timetable of history. Israel has already begun to claim her inheritance. Many have already returned from the four corners of the earth and yet at this very moment much remains to be claimed and much that has been claimed is being threatened. We believe that God’s call to us at this time has particular reference to the aliyah from the West, particularly the USA. He told us that as we went forth, we would be marking, mapping and preparing the “Returning Pathway.”
We gratefully acknowledge and honor all the many prophetic acts and intercessory prayers offered up for Savannah, the USA and Israel over the centuries as well as in our own day and see this assignment as only one of many stitches in God’s beautiful kingdom tapestry.
Participants in the Savannah march included people from at least 18 states and
Canada, Haiti, Philippines, Russia:
1. Native Americans in their native regalia led the procession of about 300 marchers
2. A company of 30 shofar blowers dressed in white robes with their leader dressed as a Biblical high priest
3. A Davidic dance company, Benote Zion (Daughters of Zion), from Tennessee as well as
4. A regional dance company, in costume, waving banners and moving in choreographed steps to music on
CD being played in 3 vans interspersed along the procession (Daystar Regional Dance Team)
5. Believers of multiple races and representatives from various local churches and ministries –
The Steering Committee consisted of leaders from 18 churches/ministries in Savannah
6. Many intercessors lined the entire 3-mile pathway and prayed as we marched
Results of the Mahanaim March in Savannah in 2002:
- Unity among pastors and believers – attested to by pastors on the Steering Committee
- Repentance and Reconciliation
- Salvation and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit was poured out from the spill-over of praise and worship
- Downpour of Rain: Physical and Spiritual – after the march a downpour of rain broke the 5-year drought that had plagued Savannah.
- The prophetic sign: A Wedding in Forsyth Park . Just as we reached the park at the end of the march, a Jewish Bride and a Gentile Bridegroom were married by a black female pastor at the fountain. Our Shofar Team lined the wide brick walkway and trumpeted the entrance of the couple. One of the blowers, dressed as a High Priest, sealed the ceremony with the Aaronic Blessing. Pentecost (Shavuot) is the feast in Israel that the Gentiles are invited to join.
- Open Heavens – Clouds gave cover and relief from the May heat. Fire Engines screamed down the street in front of the march. Pentecost – Wind, Fire and Water (it flooded after the march breaking the 5- year drought in Savannah)
- Noticeable change in the atmosphere over the city - many onlookers had tears in their eyes.
- Testimonies of people receiving salvation, prodigals returning and fresh in-fillings of the Holy Spirit.
- Cyrus Decree Proclaimed
Timing for the 2017 March
Feast of Trumpets – Yom Teruah – Saturday, September 23, 2017 (as projected on the Biblical New Moon Calendar restored and used by some in Israel as well as many Messianic Congregations across the globe). The Feast of Trumpets falls in the season of Teshuvah = [Repent and Return]
(40 days of repentance and fasting begin on the 1st day of the sixth Hebrew month – Elul – and culminate on Yom Kippur – Day of Atonement) [Regular Jewish calendar - August 22 – September 30]
Teshuvah – the Hebrew root is “shuv” which is a word Dutch Sheets shared recently for the Body of Messiah in this hour.
[From the meaning of its Hebrew letters, Teshuvah is defined as:
“what comes from repenting and returning to the covenant.”]
September 23, 2017 will be a day of planetary alignments. Look this up on your search engine and see what will be happening in the heavens on this day. Genesis 1:14-15:
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
Cyrus and Mahanaim Anointings
The Cyrus and Mahanaim Anointings work hand in hand in “Claiming Inheritance.”
The Cyrus Anointing releases those held captive so they can be free to claim their inheritance.
The Mahanaim Anointing releases the Angelic Warring Host to accompany those who have been released and assist them in making that claim according to God’s direction.
THE CYRUS ANOINTING AND CALL
GOD’S AGENDA FOR AMERICA AND THE NATIONS
Many prophetic voices have received visions, dreams and revelation that God was going to put a bulldozer in the White House – a wrecking ball in the White House – a Cyrus in the White House - well before Donald Trump became a candidate. These voices have received confirmation that Donald Trump is that candidate and that Cyrus. The parallels of that day and this day are astounding. Daniel answered and said:
Blessed be the name of God forever and forever,
For wisdom & might are His,
And He changes the times and the seasons;
He (GOD) removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise and
Knowledge to those who have understanding. [Daniel 2:20b-21]
THE LORD’S PROMISE TO JUDAH AND JERUSALEM [Isaiah 44:24-27]:
Judah and her cities, including Jerusalem, will be restored.
The LORD says to Judah:
“Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb:
‘I am the LORD, Who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone,
Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, and drives diviners mad;
Who turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolishness;
Who confirms the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers;’
Who says to Jerusalem, ‘You shall be inhabited,’
To the cities of Judah, ‘You shall be built,’ and I will raise up her waste places;
Who says to the deep, ‘Be dry! and I will dry up your rivers’….”
The LORD says of Cyrus: [v. 28]:
He is My shepherd.
He will do everything I want.
He will say of Jerusalem, “You will be rebuilt,”
and of the Temple, “Your foundation will be laid.”
The LORD Says to Cyrus: [Isaiah 45:1]:
Thus says Yehovah to Cyrus, His anointed, whose right hand He has grasped,
To Subdue nations before him
To Loose the armor of kings (stripping them of their robes),
To Open before him the double doors so the gates will not be shut:
Thank you, Father, for holding Donald John Trump’s hand and anointing and enabling him to fulfill this Cyrus call in our day - in our nation, the nations of the world and in the nation of Israel.
WHAT THE LORD PROMISES TO CYRUS:
I will go ahead of you:
Levelling the hills,
Shattering the bronze gates,
Smashing the iron bars.
I will give you:
The treasures of darkness and
Hidden riches in secret places
WHY?
In order that you [Cyrus] may know that I, the LORD, Who calls you by your name,
am the God of Israel. For Jacob My servant’s sake, and Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me.
Meaning of Donald John Trump's name:
Donald: World ruler, Great chief, Ruler of the world
John: Yehovah is gracious, Graced by God, Gracious gift of God
Trump: Drummer-Donald’s ancestor was named Drumpf (military drummer used to set the march pace and communicate other orders); Trumpet, Trumpeter, Triumph.
WHAT THE LORD PROMISES TO CYRUS (continued) [Isaiah 45:5-7]:
I am the LORD, and there is no other;
There is no God besides Me.
I will gird you, though you have not known Me,
That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none besides Me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other;
I form the light and create darkness,
I make peace and create calamity;
I the LORD, do all these things.
Thus says Yehovah, the Holy One of Israel, His Maker: ‘…I am stirring up Cyrus to righteousness, I am smoothing out all his paths. He will rebuild my city; and he will free my exiles, taking neither ransom nor bribe,’ says Yehovah of Hosts. [Isaiah 45: 13] CJB
WHAT CYRUS DID:
Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation (DECREE) throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
‘Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem; which is in Judah.’
1.He released the Jews to go back to Jerusalem and build the temple.
2.He asked the people in Babylon to give them silver, gold, goods, beasts and freewill offerings. 3.He also gave them the vessels of the LORD that Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem and put in the house of his gods.
So, just like in their Exodus from Egypt, the Jews returned from Babylon with silver, gold and loads of goods.
IN THE LAST DAYS:
It shall come to pass in that day (when the Root of Jesse - Jesus, Yeshua - will stand as a banner to the people), that the LORD shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left…. He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. [Isaiah 11:11-12]
The time is coming when I will gather together all nations and languages. They will come and see My glory, and I will give them a sign. I will send some of their survivors to the nations of Tarshish, Pul, Lud, Tuval, Greece and more distant coasts, where they have neither heard of My fame nor seen My glory. They will proclaim My glory in these nations; and they will bring all your kinsmen out of all the nations as an offering to YEHOVAH – on horses, in chariots, in wagons, on mules, on camels – to My holy mountain Jerusalem, says YEHOVAH.
“For just as the new heavens and the new earth that I am making will continue in My presence,” says YEHOVAH, “so will your descendants and your name [Israel] continue. [Isaiah 66:18-24]
